European lush forests are the perfect habitat for a shy animal that does not usually like to be seen. It is a mysterious animal that prefers night to day. It has poor eyesight, but its sensitive sense of smell and extraordinary hearing sense is perfect for living in the wilderness.
This animal is the boar.
The protagonists of our story are two brothers, two young boars, living in the Mediterranean forest in southern Europe.
When they were younger they always had to be alert, for there were many predators lurking. But now, being barely over six months old, they enjoy a quiet and peaceful life, along with other animal species that share their environment.
With the arrival of autumn, the forest begins a deep transformation that affects all living beings in it; a transformation they will have to adapt to, or they will not survive.
We will witness the changes experienced by our protagonists – changes that are not only due to the arrival of autumn. Wolves have reached this quiet corner in the forest, and one of their favourite preys are boars.
Let us accompany our young boars during their first autumn and let us discover the most intimate stories that take place in the depths of the forest: stories of life and death, of survival, and even of love and hate.
